Fitted diapers look very much like a disposable diaper only with Velcro or snap closures. Some fitted diapers with snaps have multiple rows of snaps for a customized fit for your baby. Fitted diapers are more expensive than the prefold diapers. You may want to consider a one size fitted diaper such as Baby Beehinds Fitted Hemp or Bamboo diapers. Not only are these highly absorbent and soft, the one-size adjustments extends the time that your baby will be in these diapers. Contoured diapers are also similar to fitted diapers, but usually do not have any elastic around the legs and waist or have any type of closure. They are more like a prefold that is cut in an hourglass shape. You may wish to use pins or a fastener on these diapers. You may also use a snug fitting cover to hold the diaper in place. Both fitted and contour diapers require a waterproof cover.
